COMMITTEE MEMBERSHIP.

It was officially announced yesterday afternoon that the following are the names of the Committee which have been appointed by His Excellency the Governor, to advise Government on any preparatory measures which can be taken, and on the advance information which should be collected, for the purpose of facilitating the return to Hong Kong of the evacuated wives and children of residents as soon as permission is given for their entry into the Colony.:

Chairman, the Hon. Mr. W. J. Carrie; Members, Lt. Cmdr. J. Jolly, Mr. H. Owen-Hughes, Prof. L. T. Ride, Major R. E. Moody, Mr. S. F. Lane, Mr. W. V. Taylor, Mr. D. Nickson; Secretary, Mr. C. J. Roe.
